Spiritual Abstract Paintings

Born in Blackburn in 1959 and now living in the Eden Valley, Cumbria, Peter Gagen has experienced a dramatic and difficult artistic journey. A life-threatening head injury following a fall from a horse in 1990, led to a profound change of direction. Retiring from geomorphological research, he focused upon developing his artistic strengths. Compelled by emotional experiences in childhood to explore the healing practice of the visual arts, he began to produce his spiritual abstract paintings.
